About Me

Hello, welcome to my practice! My name is Esther and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, located out of Seattle, Washington. I started Lighthouse Counseling Center with the vision of providing safe passage for those looking to navigate out of feeling lost, stuck, or helpless. Lighthouses have traditionally been viewed as symbols of hope and security; beacons of light that provide guidance through the tumultuous and unpredictable waters. Much like a lighthouse, my purpose as your therapist is to be a guiding light in your journey towards achieving your goals. Reasons for therapy may range from coping with transient stress, managing symptoms of depression and anxiety, and/or unpacking childhood traumas. I am here to listen and support you.

Trust is the cornerstone of the therapeutic alliance. I view trust as an active and ongoing process which begins immediately from the moment you first reach out to me. It is through this relationship-first approach that I seek to help you feel that you are not alone in your journey. As your therapist, it is imperative to me that you feel seen and heard. Furthermore, that you feel equipped with a better understanding of yourself and the appropriate skills to manage the problems that initially brought you to therapy. I bring to the table my training in evidence-based practices as well as previous clinical experiences from hospital and community agency work. I am a firm believer that one style of therapy does not fit all; therefore, I exercise flexibility and creativity in order to make an eclectic style of therapy that is best suited for YOU.
